BC CASE Project Updates

The BC CASE Professional Learning Series is now complete and available for teachers. The goal of the Learning Series is to provide both introductory and ongoing professional development for new and nearly new resource teachers. There are two components to the series.
  • Cornerstone Workshops: These four full day workshops focus on topics identified as core knowledge for resource teachers and provide foundational information as well as hands on skill development. They are offered by school district or regional facilitators as professional or staff development and are organized within districts. Contact your Special Education department for more information.
  • Learning Modules: These seven modules offer teachers an opportunity to explore relevant Special Education topics with the support of an experienced, skilled special education facilitator. They also provide opportunity for guided discussion among course participants which may be organized in an online environment. Registration is through your school district Special Education department. Check out the option on the Professional Development Postsecondary link to apply this work toward credit at several BC universities.
