Membership

CEC The Council for Exceptional Children (CEC) is the leading voice for special and gifted education. Through the vision and dedication of its nearly 45,000 members, CEC sets the standard for high quality education for children and youth with exceptionalities. The Council ensures the needs of children and youth with exceptionalities are met in educational legislation, establishes professional standards for the field, and develops initiatives to improve special education practice. And, CEC is known as THE source for information, resources, and professional development for special educators.
We encourage BC CASE members to become a member of the Council for Exceptional Children (CEC).  BC CASE is a subsidiary of the umbrella organization.

BC CASE The British Columbia Council of Administrators of Special Education

We have two levels of membership. Special Education Administrators in British Columbia are designated BC CASE Full Members. Interested and retired parties, who are not Special Education Administrators in British Columbia, are designated as Associate Members.

CASE international membership is optional

Associate Membership benefits:

The associate member has some responsibility in the area of special education: Coordinator, Facilitator, District Resource Teacher etc. The associate member must be sponsored by a current BC CASE member

Membership fees are paid annually and are due by September 30th each year.
